In Greek Mythology, Hebe is the Goddess who keeps the secret of youth. At HebeCell, we aim to unlock the secret of youth and regeneration at the cellular level and apply our technologies to the development of modern stem cell therapies for the improvement of human health. Our R&D is mainly focused on the development of proprietary technologies for industrial scale manufacturing of hematopoietic and retinal neuron cell lineages.


Hematopoietic cells such as hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) are of tremendous therapeutic value due to the shortage of matching donors of HSC from bone marrow and umbilical cord blood. We are developing next generation technologies that will allow us to manufacture patient-specific or universal HSC from the variety of cell sources including but not limited to human pluripotent stem cells. Our technology platform will also be suitable for manufacturing more lineage-specific hematopoietic cells such as erythrocytes, megakaryocytes, lymphocytes and macrophages for the purposes of blood transfusion or gene therapies for rare blood diseases.



Retinal neural cells are of important therapeutic value in treating a variety of vision loss such as macular regeneration, glaucoma and retinitis pigmentosa. We are developing proprietary manufacturing platform for the variety of retinal neural cells such as retinal neural progenitors, photoreceptors, ganglion cells and other retinal cells from a variety of cell sources including human pluripotent stem cells.


Our new technologies of manufacturing process under more controlled and closed environment will allow us to produce cellular products at much higher quality, with small batch-to-batch variation and lower cost. We believe that will ultimately translate into better efficacy in future clinical investigations and regulatory approval.
